I think this is an important aspect for the PvP and PvM based
crowds, but not for the gaming genre on the whole. I have not found
that immersive behavior and longevity within an MMORPG is really
dependent on how fun "hunting" is... although the creation of new
FPS/MMOG mergers like Iritor and Planetside might see an exponential
growth of FPS gamer cross-overs, which would weigh heavily in your
estimation of the future growth of the genre.
