I was just watching David Lynch's "The Straight Story" on DVD and
noticed there were no chapter stops in it. I hadn't noticed when
watching previously, as I had watched all the way through, but was
watching it again here and there. Anyway, on the inside cover of the
DVD, Lynch writes, "I know that most DVDs have chapter stops. It is
my opinion that a film is not like a book -- it should not be broken
up. It is a continuum and should be seen as such. Thank you for your
understanding."

Just thought that was interesting in light of recent posts.
