"Firestarter" had the classic ones, I believe.
Also, from many years ago, a movie titled "The Raven" (I believe), starring
Vincent Price, had wizardly combat where the two were throwing spell-bolts
at each other. It looked neat when I saw it, but by today's standards it is
likely fairly lame.
