Being a bread maker can be extremely fun if the rewards far outweigh
initial investment. 

I'll use UO as an example. Blacksmithing was just *silly* repetitive but
was actually enjoyable because GM armor was in such high demand. Cooking
however was a complex system that (IMHO) was really cool. Too bad one out
of a thousand people used the cooking skill. Reason? There was no reward.
