Just to bring this home, and tie it into another recent issue, the UO
lawsuit filing cites the eBay value of items lost when player accounts of
counselors were closed.
---+++
84. Customers, including those serving as Counselors, could acquire various
virtual items (houses, swords, etc..) while using UO.
85. These items have monetary value.
86. As of the date of this complaint there are approximately 1,453 items
listed for sale on eBay as having to do with Ultima Online, with requested
bid prices ranging from $1.00 to over $1,000.00.
87. Within the period 1997 to the present, OSI was aware that these items
were often purchased and sold on eBay.
88. On the occasions that OSI deleted a player account, the
customer/Counselor would lose these items.
