Yes, LegendMUD has this. Telnet to mud.sig.net port 9999 to try it out.

You will now see verbose fight messages.
will give highly detailed messages with randomization, poetry, and
attack-specific details. Stuff like types of weapon against differeing
types of armor, etc etc. You can then scale down to a very brief
stock-Diku like message set that just gives "You do lotsa damage" sorts
of messages. Three tiers, I think.
