Hey all,

Quick, hopefully simple, question: For those of you with decent-sized
muds (or indeed, those with smaller muds ;), how many commands per
second are you seeing coming in from players, how many events per
second are you dealing with from NPC's (for whatever your local
definition of "event" is - I'm thinking in terms of any NPC's that
might wander etc seperately of a global tick), and what sort of
average responsiveness are you seeing on player commands - how long
does it take, on average, to execute a player's command?

If you can include roughly how many players on-line you have at the
time the measurements are taken and any "altering circumstances" there
might be (like, global ticks etc) for those, so much the better. I'm
trying to get a feeling for performance points - I know what I'm
working on is too slow atm, I've not really made any effort to deal
with it's speed yet, but I'd like to know what sort of targets I
should be looking at ;)

KevinL
