I prefer the idea of just one day, but it won't work, so I agree
with John :).
Why "won't work"? Because of timezones...with an 8-hour time
difference, if I'm responding at work then I could easily respond to
the initial mail, and leave work just as everyone else is starting
to think about replying :(. Not especially conducive to
discussions...
So, I'd suggest that a couple of days is required minimum just to
build in tolerance for the 24-hour RTT we have on an international
mailing list :D.
