Before this meta thread lives too much longer here's one thing that
is going to happen in this area:

  MUD-Dev will be losing the "request for posting authority" and
"proposed first post" requirements (or at least their public
presence).  Instead the list will be run as a normal moderated list,
just with a large number of members who can post without my
intervention.  All posts by others (ie those without posting
authority) will be treated as normal moderator discretion posts with
those posts treated as combo "proposed first post" and "request for
posting authority" posts.  Moderator post dismissals will be *very*
automated (ie consume minimum time on my part).

Mostly this is a change in presentation, not in function.
