Hmm. Our combat system is text, and it's far more fun (at least PvP)
than any graphical combat system I've ever seen, whether it's Quake,
Everquest, or Soul Caliber. Most of our hardcore PKers would no
doubt agree. I don't think text or graphics has anything to do with
whether combat is fun, really, particularly as fun is subjective.

I also read a review (posted it here) of Underlight recently, which
is an actual roleplaying graphical MUD instead of hack n' slash, and
the reviewer commented how much better it was roleplaying in a
graphical environment (even with fairly outdated graphics) than in a
text environment. Personal preference I'd say.
