This puts me in mind of Sega's popular game, Sonic the Hedgehog. He
jumps on the monsters, which pops and releases a little bunny or
squirrel or something. The premise being, you're not actually
killing something, but releasing it from unwanted slavery (or some
such nonsense).
Personally, I like my killing to be as graphical as possible. I
can't very well kill my boss in a manner consistent with the current
legal system, so I take it out on my online friends. The more they
scream, the better I feel. Blood spurting from a beheaded corpse
just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...
