As a player, at least, I have pretty high hopes that they can turn
out a highly enjoyable product. Diablo, Diablo II, Warcraft, and
Warcraft II are all very good single player games. Furthermore,
Diablo II has persistant character storage and game hosting for a
very large number of players, through Exodus hosting. That makes me
think that they know what they're getting into infrastructure-wise,
where so many companies have not. With all of the experience
running battle.net in house, they are better poised to move into
this industry than anyone else I can think of (except companies that
have actually already fielded massive online games).
