A quite interesting and useful (albeit slightly simplistic) tutorial on
developing multi-user environments can be found at
<URL:http://math.berkeley.edu/~jlevenbe/stl.html>. Postscript as well as
HTML versions of the paper are available. On first look, it all seems
reminiscent of the DIS standard, but has some more concrete and
down-to-earth examples...
