That's an opinion, not a fact. And frankly, I don't see how a game
could be more goal-oriented than, say, Everquest. (Ie your goal is to
get the highest level and the best equipment. Nothing vague about that
at all.)
If a MUD-style game is a mirror of the society upon which it is based,
then you must accept Westerners as being little different, as Achaea
is based in Western society and is at least as PvP-oriented as the
Korean games that I've read/heard about.
Claiming that there's a single type of cultural mindset reflected in
games in a particular country is just wrong.
