I'm not really that dense.  I sort of figured that was the point.
Eventually.

We take a different approach to making the players rely on one another.
There are mobs that spawn far from civilization and over time they wander
into newbie territory, or newbies wander into their territory, or they =
chase
newbies back into newbie territory.  This isn't really "fair", in the =
sense
that you're out trying to bash bunnies with your pathetically weak self =
and a
big mob stomps you into the ground.  But mostly the players do a good job=
 of
policing the area, and we don't even have all that many users.  Gives the
newbies a reason to talk to the oldbies, and gives the oldbies a chance =
to
play hero (and show off what tough blokes they are).

Newbies that would rather do everything themselves tend to complain about=
 it
though.
