It's worth pointing out that twinking doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing
proposition.

Plop a newbie behind the wheel of a fishing trawler, and he'll almost
certainly make an ass of himself and ultimately get bored.  But give him a
pole and some bait, and he'll be able to make the journey on his own... with
a leg up over the poor saps vainly chucking rocks at passing trout.  :)

The idea is to control twinking via game mechanics such that it's impossible
to create an ubernewbie, no matter how rich and powerful his sponsor.  There
have got to be dozens of ways to accomplish this.
