The single most important factor to note here is that the player was
banned because another player (a harassment/grief player, actually)
reported the story to verant in the guise of being hurt and offended
by it. Verant reacted with their now-famous inconsistent and
arbitrary administration and banned the roleplayer - for a story
posted on a non-verant board.

This was an example of a grief player causing grief to a roleplayer in
a creative way, and using the system. That's what grief players do.
Those of us experienced with grief play would have probably recognized
this for what it was before taking action against the roleplayer.

But, that's us.
