They don't just wonder, they bitch.  And after they figure it out, the
next week 20 characters zone in just in time to make the boss call in
extra force, then zone out and leave the original occupants to deal
with it.  The Zeroth Law of Online Games: Grief players will exploit
*anything* that can interfere with someone else's play.
