Not sure you're assumptions are correct. Take this one, I have an
ancient piece of rock with some hieroglyphics on it. I host a GIF of
a picture of that rock on my web-server and you pay me to do so. Who
owns the rock? Who owns the GIF? If the contract between us is
cancelled, what can you claim is yours to take with you to another
web-server?
