For Tildruin we use a Shockwave plugin (note not same as Flash
plugin).  It's compatible with Windows and Mac. Develop times are
fast as you have support for tcp/udp, as well as many other things
(sounds, images etc.). One of the pros is that you can distribute an
executable file as well.
