It seems to think I am idle... thats exactly the problem. while your typing a message you aren't doing anything with the server (the client uploads the whole message at once when you're done typing your message). I guess my best suggestion would be to write it offline and use some sort of ascii upload to stick it all up at once or split it up like you did. alex
