No No natalie.  This is #hack.  To change your name you have to do the 
following:

% run Rd|sT S(r|Pt h3r3
# vi /etc/shadow (or god knows what shadow file - or /etc/passwd)
# change group and uid to 0
% id
% uid=0 gid=0

There.  Now your name is changed and you have root access.
