that is a good idea, read, it is the second best way to learn.

i would recomend "Using Unix" by: Que for unix stuff
i ripped a copy from a local book store an i must say it
is the best steal so far.  very good info.

if you want info about internet, i would recommend:
"The Whole Internet: User's Guide & Catalog"
by: Ed Krol, published by O"Reilly & Associates, Inc.
