Either way, best bet is to ask around there-- get to know some people who know what they are doing, ask questions, but don't ask questions you don't have to. Play around- do some work-- nobody apreciates giving away info to somebody who wants it all handed on a silver platter. Too many people like that on the Net. Just read, listen, and keep your mouth shut about anything you don't know about.... About code-cracking: If you mean to crack Unix systems, it's best to get at least one legit account (I assume you have one) and proceed from there. Also, *don't* hack your own site-- they can get you easier and hurt you more if you do--and it doesn't help you in any way to crash your server... Fastjack
