There have been suggestions of mixing pink noise with the original signal 3000, but it does not work. The only way you can use a blue box today is use it where a line man has just installed a new line or tested one cause that tone is still used for testing...and that number can use a 2600 signal for about a month before it is taken off the telco list. Beige boing is using someone elses line through canning...and there is not musch risk as long as you only use that line once or twice and the only person who gets screwed is "Ma Bell" as the guy whose line you were using only has to pay $50 of the bill you rang up...well hope this helps...
