What is the Ever Backward? |
The Ever Backward is meant to be a coalition of people who have used or
still use old technology, specifically software, and wish for that work
to perpetuate into the new century. While the usefulness of the software
on its own might be diminished, the historcal importance of that work
remains. By banding together and sharing resources and efforts, a very
large amount of older software will be categorized and left for others
to revisit.

Is there something I can do? |
What's needed are for people (or teams of people) to stake out claims
on sets of software for specific machines, or collections of software
from a specific subculture or group. The term "software" is pretty general
and can mean most any type of computer aspect, including
textfiles, disk magazines, or
sets of utilities/tools.
