Some of new things I filtered out: Usenet posts of the late 90s that I thought significant or things downloaded from Gopher that everyone has like "Real Programmers don't use Pascal." I also left out personal mail. Much of it is inane chatter and Monty Python lyrics. I now find it barely interesting, but all of the meta-data grabs me. Just seeing the VirtualNet address for PLastic Poultry pulls me back to another year. There's something about remembering friends using Prodigy with user names like TVXN53C. I really appreciate the work you've done with textfiles and the documentary. As I'm sure you've heard from other people, my days in the late 80s and early-mid 90s meant a great deal to me and shaped much of my adult personality. It's sad to close a chapter on life that seemed so good. It makes me wonder what we'll be up to in 10 years. It feels odd to think of closing the chapter on weblogs and gmail, sighing for those good ol' days. Thanks for your work! Talk to you later. Yours by grace, Jason -- The Rev.
